Build a project manually
Start from an empty project, create your tasks, assign resources, manage dependencies, edit or delete tasks, then see the final result on the Gantt chart.
KairoProject
The walkthrough
The video starts from an empty project and builds it entirely by hand, in two minutes. You see how to:
- create tasks;
- assign resources to those tasks;
- manage dependencies to set the order in which tasks follow one another;
- edit or delete tasks as the plan changes;
- see the final result on the Gantt chart.
Build your plan step by step
Building a project manually suits you when you start from scratch and want to keep control of every task. Lay down the main tasks first, assign each a resource, then link them together. A plan does not have to be perfect on the first pass: you can fix a task, move it or delete it at any time, and the Gantt chart updates as you make changes.
Worth remembering
Dependencies give the plan its logic: they define how tasks follow one another. Take the time to set them carefully, and the Gantt chart will reflect reality more closely.
What comes next
If you would rather not enter everything by hand, you can create a project with AI or import an ongoing project. To understand how KairoProject then protects your deadline, read the guide What is CCPM? and watch the critical chain in action.
