Create a calendar
Create a calendar from the KairoProject landing page: work session time slots, working days, copying a typical day and the total hours per week.
KairoProject
The walkthrough
The video starts from the KairoProject landing page and shows how to create a new calendar from there. This is where you define your team's working time: when people work, and on which days.
Time slots and working days
You begin by creating the time slots of the work sessions: for example a morning session and an afternoon session. Then you set the working days, meaning the days of the week on which people work. These slots and days describe the real availability of your resources.
A tip: copy a typical day
There is no need to enter each day separately. Build one typical day, then copy and paste it onto the other days of the week. The days are identical and the setup is much faster.
Worth remembering
Get one day right, then duplicate it. If a day is an exception, simply adjust it after the copy.
Check the total hours
The calendar shows the total number of hours worked per week. It is a simple check, before going any further, that the setup matches your team's real working time.
What comes next
Your calendar is ready. You can create a new project, then add tasks to it. To understand how KairoProject then protects your deadline, read the guide What is CCPM?.
